Based on my experience in my own business, the average wedding I plan takes:

  • 12-18 months
  • 400+ emails
  • 100+ hours of actual work (not accounting for thought time / daydreaming / mental energy)
  • 12-16 different tools and databases (spreadsheets, bank accounts, vendor portals, timelines, design softwares, websites, schematics and on and on and on…)
  • 12 different areas of expertise (think: your vendors and their specialities - depending on scope this number can be MUCH higher)
