Chynna + Adam came to me with hopes and dreams of doing what felt impossible to them: host a backyard wedding that felt intimate and laid back, but also black tie with an obvious level of formality. I was instantly intrigued and ready to take on the challenge and I still can’t get over the magic that we made.
We created formality by asking all guests to wear black formal wear, and we obsessed design details to elevate the entire experience from custom bar decals and hanging chandeliers, to custom cocktail napkins, drink stirrers, and wax-sealed menus. I won’t disclose the details, but we also made all of these dreams come true and what some would consider a smaller wedding budget, so I just want to emphasize that I truly believe no budget is too small or too big when it comes to your dream event. There are variables, yes, and there are compromises and priorities that have to be made. But the sky is the limit in making things personal, customized, and beautiful at any budget, in my opinion.
We achieved the desired affect and the final product was exactly what we hoped for: formal, reverent, but also welcoming and laid back. The guests couldn’t stop gushing over the results and the the couple continues to stay that this was “the best day ever” and their “dream wedding” and THAT is why I do what I do!

This is hands down what I want our wedding to be. This is beyond inspiring for the day we are planning to include class, formality over a private late morning vow ceremony followed by our closest small bands while enjoying brunch and outstanding photo opportunities. Thank you for the inspiration!
